The most anticipated and perhaps the best smartphone of the year is being globally recalled, because of a tiny manufacturing default.
The Samsung Galaxy Note
7 was meant to be the best or at least amongst the best of the best smartphones to be released in 2016. There is no doubt that in terms of design, and specifications, and a killer camera that could give a DSLR a run for its money it most definitely not only lived up to, but in many ways exceeded expectations. The new and improved S Pen and the Iris Scanner for improved security were exceptional features. And it had an awesome 3500mAhLi-Ion battery that was more than capable of keeping the phone running all day on a single charge. Ironically it is the very heart of the phone, the battery, which has caused a global recall of this brilliant smartphone that was launched recently.
Samsung has put itself in a tight spot, as there have been over 35 reported cases globally, of the phone catching fire while charging. What may have been the phone of the year has a tendency of exploding or catching fire while being charged. This has caused Samsung to stop selling all existing stock, and issue a recall of all sets sold. However, according to Samsung, these faulty batteries will only affect 1 phone out of every 42,000 phones. This could very well mean that your phone is perfectly fine, or is it?
